Ontario, Canada-headquartered AlphaRx (OTCBB:ALRX), a biotechnology company focused on drug delivery, announced this week that it had received market approval from the SFDA (China's drug approval agency) for Indaflex™, its topical arthritis relief product.
According the company, Indaflex™, a topical formulation of Indomethacin, is incorporated in a nanotechnology drug delivery system developed in-house.
Previously, Indaflex™ had been approved in Mexico.
AlphaRx International Holdings (AIH), the comapny's affiliate in Hong Kong, will launch the product in 2008, and it is reportedly already building a plant in China to manufacture the drug.
